Do any of you guys truly believe this team has a shot at the playoffs, this team has been bad since December. Even the King has been bad! Lets be realistic. Enjoy the pregame ceremony and begin looking forward to free agency to see what other big contract we can give to someone who will play like crap. Don't waste your time with this bunch!

Does anyone know if they are they gonna show the pregame ceremony on CenterIce? I was at Graves Night so I didn't have to worry about it, but I'm really hoping they'll show the ceremony tonight.

Boy oh boy is it going to get ugly at the garden tonight if the Rangers lose.

It's a shame Bathgate/Howell night is going to be drowned out by "Fire Renney" and "Fire Sather" chants.

Yes they will but only on the Rangers broadcast for the game. But you're set.

I've gone through all the Rangers game this seasong trying to figure out how often they score in regulation. That means I've left out any goals in OT or SO wins (meaning a 3-2 win in OT doesn't count here)

The number in parentheses is the number of regulation goals scored.

October

CHI 4-2 W (4)
PHI 4-3 W (4)
NJD 4-1 W (4)
DET 5-4 OT L (4)
CBJ 3-1 W (3)
NYI 4-2 W (4)
ATL 3-2 W (3)

November

TBL 5-2 W (5)
NJD 5-2 W (5)
VAN 6-3 L (3)
PHX 4-1 W (4)
FLA 4-3 SO W (3)

December

NJD 8-5 L (5)
ANA 3-1 W (3)
WSH 5-4 OT L (4)
NYI 5-4 W (5)

January

PIT 4-1 W (4)
MON 6-3 L (3)
ANA 4-2 W (4)
CAR 3-2 W (3)

February

WSH 5-4 SO W (4)
NYI 3-1 W (3) (and the last one was put in an empty net)

3 goals in 8 games
4 goals in 10 games
5 goals in 4 games

Scoring 3 or more regulation goals in 22 out of 60 games. Rangers have been shut out 5 times, leaving 33 games where they've scored either one or two games in regulation.

I don't know about Tortorella, but if the Rangers embarrass themselves tonight, Renney is gone.

Don't be so sure. For all we know, Sather might let him finish the season before making the decision. I don't think he goes with the trade deadline approaching, since I think we might see quite a few new faces soon.

One can dream, I think he's going to be fired during the off-season. We'll see what the trade deadline brings.

If Renney isn't fired, that means Sather has a major deal set up that he's just waiting to pull the trigger on.
Either way I think a big change is coming, and this game tonight could be the straw that breaks the back.

I can see where that might be possible. But what big deal can he possibly have?

Come on guys, we've been saying "If they lose this game" the coach is gone since the Dallas Disaster.

He's still here and the team is still playing like hammered turd.I don't see a change before the season is over.
