Chris has been playing much better lately, however his lack of a contribution on the scoresheet all but confirms to me that he is best suited in a shutdown role on the 3rd line and pk with some offensive upside, as opposed to being put in a scoring role where he is relied on to put the puck in the net.

That is what he was drafted to be.

Well, by that standard he isn't the only one involved. Price, Sergei Kostitsyn and presumably Andrei Kostitsyn are as well.

15pts is atrocious. You have to think that Bob would trade him before anyone else at this point...

35games with an ATOI of 16:35 and 20.4 shifts/game 8 goals (3 goals in one game) and 7 assists for 15pts and -4.

Higgins is BLOODY USELESS.

Can we really say with any certainty that Christopher Higgins actually is this out of control party animal that this board has been making him out to be in recent weeks?? I mean, it was only a year ago that he was considered a hard working fitness fanatic and former Ivey Leaguer who could be our next Captain. Also, I remember Kirk Muller once saying that Higgins has an excellent attitude that stands out above the rest and loves coaching him.

It seems as though this board's perception of Higgins took a nasty U-Turn almost overnight.

This thread is about Higgins, and not the rest of the losers as well.

Obviously I'm referring to this season, we play for the present not the past and given his BRUTAL play this season why would we expect him to be a 30/30 or 40/40 next season?

Throwing Ryder under a bus? I follow the team as closely as anyone (and definitely more close than Erika Kostitsyn)... Where the hell did this come from?

I clearly remember during one of Ryder's ridiculously-cold streaks, him and Higgins got a 2 on 0 break and Higgins spoon fed Ryder the goal.

Alas, many posters here are really ventriloquists' dummies. The trouble is, the ventriloquists who put the words in their mouths are themselves inane dummies. I suggest that their mommies turn off the dummies' radios and TV sets and instead direct them to more rational incoming wavelengths. Better yet, they should try to persuade their mindless offspring to spend more time in the library.

She not jack squat about hockey, don't get me started on her, or Mother Theresa either for that matter.

Well then if thats the case hes good enough to play on our #1 or #2 line when you look at the rest of the roster.

I think he was drafted to be a responsible player and a leader on the ice, which I think he is still very capable of, and he can play that role for now and if he emerges to score 20-30-35 goals then thats a bonus.

Had Chris Higgins scored 40 goals last season, Sergei Kostitsyn's biggest fan would post her love for Chris every thread like she was The Damned's sister.
