I like to watch Higgins and all but sometimes I wish he could score on the chances he gets. Sometimes I wonder if he would put it in into an empty soccer net.

But then again, maybe he gets more chances because he tries harder than others and it looks like he misses more. I don't know.

What I do know, is that people will keep including him in imaginary trades because he's apparently more expendable than other players for reasons I don't quite get.

You've yet to prove to anyone here your claim that Higgins has pushed his buddy Ryder under the bus. I'd expect your next post in this thread the one to PROVE us wrong.

Dont let the flag on the left side throw you off too much, I am as Canadian as you.

You have serious issues. A deaf mute would be better at deciphering the problems with Higgins than you ever could.

I couldn't find the thread on HF. The search feature sucks.

Higgins is as expendable as anyone at the end of the season.

Just so everyone here knows, if they were not Hab fans when Ryder, Michael was stinkin it up for the team and bringing the whole team with him, Ryder threw Ryder under the bus! We all watched it happen and it was hard knowing how much of a fan him and his family are of the team.

Why is being a deaf mute any kind of hindrance in analyzing anything related to hockey? You need to back up your original statement, with some kind of proof since most of us seem to disagree with you on this one.

Sorry about the deaf mute comment. since it's too much for you to handle.

'Stick your head in the sand' would have been more appropriate.

Well, we are still waiting for evidence, since only you and Erika Kost ever heard of this

I somewhat remember that comment. It was like "if only our line could put more pucks in the net especially since we make the chances". It's a bit off-putting but I wouldn't say "threw ryder under a bus" and I'm a very adamant Higgins critic.

Hello Hamrlikthestud

Well, until you prove that he said that, and that it was directly thrown against Ryder, I call BS

a. I said it WASN'T directly thrown at Ryder, from what I remember he said "our line" but it was implied that it's cause of Ryder (being the sniper and all)

b. I'm not your search function

Higgins was missing a lot of chances to... I don't see why he would target specifically Ryder

He is on pace for 35 points over a full season, that is not a top line player. I would be thrilled if he was putting up 35 points on a shutdown line with Kosto and Lapierre, however he put up these stellar numbers playing with our best center on the top line all year.

A good post and a good theory. Fans can really only remember a hand full of plays throughout a 60 minute game and we like identifiable villains, whether it's the guy who whiffed on the shot when the game was on the line, the goaltender who let the "back breaker" in, or the defenseman who missed on the pinch.

Saying the team was lethargic in the third is much too esoteric, we need someone to pin disappointment on.

I'd say that the evidence, not the search feature sucks, when it's non-existent.

Article about the possibility of Higgins coming to the Isles.

http://www.islanderspointblank.com/2...mithtowns-own/

Chris Higgins, all of 25 years old, was raised in Smithtown, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. Okay, so he supposedly grew up a Canadiens fans. Big whoop. He also hangs out on the Island in the summer with DiPietro.

Brendan Witt for Higgins is not a do-able deal. Neither is Witt plus a draft pick. This would likely have to be a lot more complicated, with more salary coming back to the Islanders, some ability going back to the Canadiens. But Higgins to the Islanders, with a little creativity, is not out of the question.

his stellar offensive play is also accompanied by a stellar backchecking and a stellar Defensive zone positioning

Way to go Chris! Continue to prove the haters wrong!

That's funny. To me, he's looking more like Jan Bulis - no hockey sense and has cement hands. I can't stand the sight of him.

Your post is almost as big of an epic fail as you spelling 'Chelios' wrong as your username.

not his fault the organization expects him to produce like a 1st line winger.

his place is right next to lapierre on the 3rd line. higgins is a great 2 way player and these 2 would help form a very solid shutdown line.
