Evgeni Dadonov

Hi fellow russian HFers, I'm wondering if you can give me a little more insight on Evgeni Dadonov, Panthers prospect. It's widely believed around the fanbase that he was picked as a boom or bust type player. After watching the WJC, he looked excellent. Can any of you tell me a bit more about him? His skill set? Etc.

Thank you much

Reminds me of Denis Parshin.....maybe not quite as skilled though.

I wonder if he will come over. He seems to be established in Russia, but then why would Florida spend such a high pick on him. I wonder what the deal is. Surely they made some type of verbal agreement at the draft combine?

Danny markov

I think his contract is up at the end of the year.... has anyone seen him play recently, and do you think he would consider a return to the nhl?

Radulov

If anyone is able to watch the games in the KHL, how is Radulov playing this season? Does his game appear to be progressing?

Is he further developing his offensive skills and developing into a premier offensive forward?

Radulov has been great in KHL. He's among the league leading scorers.

How has Petr Kalus been in the KHL? Why does he have so many PIM's?

19-year-old Maxim Goncharov has been called up to the Russian National team.

He's a very fine prospect, but I think this is a bit too early.

He's playing for "Barys" - (Astana) and doing pretty well, one of their top scorers, while logging major minutes, that's the best I got...

Vasily Koshechkin is having a very nice season in the KHL. His team, Lada, has been only average this season, but Koshechkin has been one of the bright spots.

His numbers:

1.68 GAA, .932 SV%

I think he deserves a spot on the Russian NT over Barulin. I know people will point out to the defense in front of him, but it isn't as good as the defense in front of Alexander Eremenko and no one questions his presence on the team.

those numbers are overrated, and not because the defense in front of him it was nothing special to start with and with a loss of Niemi, Puyaz, and Vorob'ev is pretty weak on paper, BUT, the coach who happens to be a super defensive specialist. The whole team plays not to get scored on. Koshechkin had his chance on a good team, but used the $$ to become drunkard is what I heard.
After all, I think those numbers may warrant a call up to the Euro tour unless his habit will keep Bykov from doing that. I heard that we are bringing an experimental team to Czech Republic for the last round, so we'll see who is making that team.

I've seen a couple of games (maybe too small of a sample size) and came away impressed with Koshechkin.

He's a huge goallie with good reflexes. His technique is solid also. I think he's good.

What about Stanislav Galimov, Sergey Bobrovsky and Ilya Proskuryakov? It's hard to believe these guys aren't prospects, considering that all 3 are now successful starters at very young age.

What happened to this guy? I seem to remeber him being pretty highly touted in his draft year as a defensive presence, supposed to be one of the strongest kids in the draft, seems his development has been quite stagnant.

This guy has a lazy-vibe around him; rumor is that's why Bykov got rid of him. He's now playing for Spartak Moscow with not much to show for

I think Gelashvilli is the first NT call-up. Galimov is no longer a starter once Kazan got that finn. Bobrovskiy's is playing on a very bad team, and that probably won't warrant a call up. Proskuryakov is not ready either.
Eremenko
Barulin
Gelashvilli
Yachanov
Koshechkin
is how I would rate Russian KHL goalies today

He's been playing well on an NHL caliber team amidst KHL teams. no rules or salary caps apply to them...52games 28goals 22assists 50pts +34

Thats a shame, really dissapointing when a player has the talent to make it but not the drive.

Going through stats, I've notice this 24-year-old (recently turned) D-man is having a very good season.

Legit prospect?
