Leland Irving to New Jersey

Irving will be locked up in the calgary system for years before he'll ever get a chance at a starting role, and seeing how Brodeur will be retired in about 2-3 years, I thought that New Jersey could be a good place for Leland to end up if the price is right.
What would Jersey be willing to give up for a very underrated goalie prospect?

id rather trade away keetley than irving

oduya would be a nice return but then that just makes a logjam at d. tedenby would be nice to have but i doubt jersey gives away even for irving

Irving is the future of our goaltending, Sutter is not the type of guy to give that up.

Brodeur has three more years on his contract AFTER this year. He'll play at least that long.

Calgary fans are dreaming if they think they'll get Oduya or Tedenby for him.

I don't really think that New Jersey is a great fit either way since Brodeur has 3 years left on his contract. The devils could draft draft a goalie in the next couple years and hope he develops.

Marty will be play beyond his current contract. Much to the dis-taste of HFboards no doubt.

What makes you think that Brodeur will retire before Kiprusoff? Marty has 3 years left after this season and after sitting most of this year out he feels like 25 again. He'll play another 4-5 years for sure...at least.

Calgary would be wise to hold on to Irving IMO.
