Trade Begin for 6th rounder somewhere. He'll get to play and Montreal will be able to continue playing Chipchura and Stewart. Throw Dandenault on the blueline to spell Brisebois.

Tanguay Koivu D'Agostini
A. Kostitsyn Plekanec Kovalev
Higgins Lapierre Pacioretty
Kostopoulos Chipchura Stewart
Laraque
Latendresse IR
Begin traded or waived

No needs to send anyone down yet. With Tanguay they will have a 23-man roster.

That was my thinking...no need to send down any of D'Agostini, Pacioretty, Stewart or Chipchura.

Waive Bégin, all 4 of those guys have futures with the Habs next year. They will all be playing roles, might as well get them some NHL time now as they'll all have expanded roles next year.

I hope Gainey doesn't send one of those guys down when Tanguay gets back...not with Bégin being expendable.

Steve Begin is clearly not in the Habs plans for the future. I doubt they will send down either of D'Agostini or MaxPac and but him in the lineup. They should give him to the «ballotage».

IMO, Chipchura or Stewart are good candidate to return to Hamilton. As much as a love Chip, I have to admit that he is really dissapointing so far. Stewart is the kind of guy Carbo love but still, easy to replace him.

Theres enough room on our roster, and I bet someone else gets hurt before Latendresse is back. Begin's contract is up after the season anyway and you wont miss much having in the press box.

And no, you wont get anything for 4th liner making a million.

Great news for Tanguay!! I just hope he tears it out, it will make Kovalev more expendable than he is now

Keep up the good work Tangunov!

When all injuries are over:

Tanguay-Koivu-D'Agostini
Andrei-Plekanec-Kovalev
Higgins-Chipchura-Pacioretty
Latendresse-Lapierre-Kostopolous
Ex: Stewart/Laraque

I think Lapierre is mosre of an offensive player than Chipchura. And Dago shouldn't be ahead of Lats and Pac on the rooster, but again that's debatable.

One of Chipchura or Begin will have to stay. Someone has to center the 4th line....unless they drop Kosto back and put him at center but that's not advisable at this point in the season.

Begin isn't even playing when the team isn't healthy, so I don't see how he will be there if everyone is available to play.

Well, that would be my lineup when Lats will be back, and that Kovalev will be gone

Tanguay-Koivu-D'agostini (nuff said)
Andrei K-Plekanec-MaxPac (excellent second line)
Higgins-Lapierre-Latendresse (really good defensive line with a good scoring potential)
Stewart-Chipchura-Kostopoulos (useful 4th line)

see? every single line will have a specific role, we won't have any 2 1/2 offensive line ****
