edit:
I see #22 Remi Gautreau did the same last year and is listed as a 2nd year player.
I think if a player plays more than 6 games, it counts as a year of eligibility. I haven't seen enough of Basque but I can't imagine Poulin playing as a regular for UdeM. He's just much too soft and lacks hockey sense.

Also, 6 in a row!!!

That's right 6 in a row and ranked #2 in Canada with 11 rookies 3 quarters of which are from Quebec or Maritime Junior A.
Who'd a think it?

8-3 tonight being a homer I'd love a recap.
Being a Moncton hockey fan I see former Beaver Gautreau had the trick. A local boy doing well I love it. Keep it up Remi and you can be Mayor of Grand-Digue

The amazing part about tonight's game is that every goal was scored by a rookie! It's unbelievable how strong our recruiting has been this year. Our leaders in goals(Marchand), assists(Paquet) and points(Ouellet) are all rookies. The future looks bright for UdeM.

Do they have any exhibition games before the start of the second half?

Yup. We're playing UPEI on the 2nd on the island and then hosting STU at home on the 3rd.

And yeah, really happy with the first half here too.

In case there's a fan or even 2 that don't live in Moncton a couple of stories.
The 23rd annual UdeM High School Tourney was over the weekend.

Skills competition Aigles with Kent-Sud Minor hockey in Bouctouche also this past weekend.

Aigles add 22 year old Francis Rochon a leading goal scorer in LHJAAAQ.
What's he been doin' the last couple of years. Q Jr AAA is a U-21 league like all Jr leagues?

Yeah it should be, isn't that the one Chateguay played in? there is only one jr A league in Quebec I am sure, and they have a berth at the Fred Page Cup do they not?

That's great. They already have the new scoreboard. Can't wait for them to finish it all though.

Hell yes.

About time. 40 years without any reno's, was getting due.

My stupid ass forgot about the press conference yesterday though, so I can't give any more details than the little bit in the articles.

Oh, and it's not the scoreboard that's in the rink right now, unless you mean the one that's in the packing crate by the referee's room, which so happens to be one of 2 new ones we're getting (from what I heard before the official annnouncement) but it was damaged in shipping and it's unusable. from what I heard, plan is to get one scoreboard in each end. And I do believe it'll be two of the ones in the same style we had before (though without the missing bulbs) and the one in the arena right now is going to the CEPS.

As long as Euclide gets to design the time keepers area. Always thought there should be a big sign EUCLIDE'S OFFICE

Hey guys, wondering if you could help me find the goal song the aigles bleus used several years ago, im not sure if they use it now, but anyways it was really catchy and the music sounded like classic rock. And obviously french.

Thanks

So what is the word on Kevin Lachance? They don't see to be having the best of luck with Marion in nets.

I think their team as a whole are not playing well right now esp. the past 3 games or so, or at least not playing they way they were during the first half of the year. They appear to lack that intensity they had not so long ago. If they can regain that form, they will be tough to beat for any team. Marion has been good for them in relief, but Lachance is back so maybe a different attitude now in the dressing room

No, there is none and if I'm not mistaken we are the only team who doesn't have some sort of broadcast in place.

Thanks, for the info. It is too bad as there are several whom would like to see the Blue Eagles games and it would certainly help the overall promotion of the CIS.

You can always write to the Uni or even better the sports department and ask others to do so. It coming from outside the organisation would likely work better than just us asking, and I know there are plenty whom would like to see the games broadcast in french too.

I know most won't agree but............
After watching the celebrations after the win over UPEI to clinch a spot in the semi's, was this the team's goal?
Will they roll over against SMU or will they come with a devil may care 'tude because no one expected the rookie laden team to make it this far?

I'm sure they want to go to Nationals. They don't really have much more for rookies on the active roster than most teams would in a given year and a few of the ones they have had better than average junior careers. I'm guessing they push SMU.

Well it's not many years that a team has close to a dozen rookies on the roster is it?
