Currently, the Leafs are

22-26-12 and sitting in 11th in the Eastern Conference with 56 points.

IF the Leafs had a better OT record, and assuming we won all the OTs and SOs we lost, we'd have 68 points.

Where does that put us?

7th place, and 3 points back of 4th. (Philadelphia with 71 points)

We're 4-12 in Overtimes and Shootouts this year.

Just found that interesting.

if we didnt have as many regulation losses as we do we couldve been in the playoffs, the losses are apart of the game however.

But they do have 9 OT loses, so pop them up to 80 if so be it.

The over time loss is so frustrating. Their should be no points for a loss period. This over time loss is going to cost us a couple spots in the draft. We are leading the NHL in OTL. We can't even lose properly while we are tanking we have to lose in over time and amumulate points while we are losing at the same time.

Yeah, the point for an overtime loss made sense when there was still ties and teams needed a little incentive to go for the win in OT, but now that I think that somebody has to win, they can go and take away the OTL point. They'll never do it, but I think they should.

if you applied the same math to all the teams above the Leafs they would all end up in the same spots.
