You have no idea how pissed I would be if that happened.

Shut the **** up.

Just... shut up.

I don't even want to think about it.

You know it will though. The only way it won't is if he retires, and the chances of that happening are nil.

I'd blame the loss on the use of "San Jose Stank" I think "San Jose Sharts" is a much better choice for next time.

I concede that the Sharts would be way more amusing. Lobo dropped the ball.

Oh well, he does make the best GDTs on this website.

The Chicago one was a work of art, especially the pictures to spell out the goalie's name, genius.

Just got back from the game, perhaps the only game I'll see in person all season.

Very pleased with the effort, and very happily pleased with the play of Fistric. Loved how Neal looked, though he fought the puck at times. Turco looked solid, and Daley only randomly fell down once, and he recovered as well as can be expected. The forwards were buzzing but never really got Nabokov scrambling with sustained activity around his net.

I wasn't as happy with Brunnstrom in person. He was very good at setting up his own opportunities, but he struggled to make a good decision when it came down to to finding the better opportunity for a teammate. But that's a fixable thing, and I assume that will improve with time in the NHL where he learns his linemates are often just as good an option as an ill-considered shot attempt.

Sydor. Sydor Sydor Sydor. He was actually having a very good game until about a minute left in the second period. Some smart plays, making up for lack of speed by good decision making, drew the too many men penalty by sending the puck over there during a change.

But once he dropped the puck to a Shark at the end of the second (where Niskanen was on the wrong side of his man), he was just... ugh the rest of the game. He got absolutely roasted by the speed and fairly basic move of Setoguchi, and Setoguchi used that space to rip the perfect shot for a game winner. He also struggled to hold pucks in at the point, a problem that plagued both him and Niskanen.

Grossman/Fistric got some PK time tonight and were solid. Fistric is so much better than he was at the beginning of the year. The AHL time did him some good. Grossman made some odd decisions moving the puck, but all in all did a solid job.

Ribeiro takes two minute shifts. It's awesome. Though I guess he was really all the offensive center option they had tonight.

You are much more bitter when the blind hatred isn't directed at Turco.

Center Toby Petersen left after blocking a shot near the beginning of the second period and did not return.

Stars coach Dave Tippett said it was a "lower body injury" and that he will be evaluated Tuesday. So I have no idea on Petersen's status for Thursday's game.
If this is an extended absence does this make it possible to see Wandell again?

I will seriously find a new team and not renew my ticket package. That worthless piece of crap darn well better retire or I'll just sit at home and enjoy my center ice package. I refuse to pay for more of that than I all ready have.

Kritter,

Brunnstrom at least tried to create tonight. I'd like to see him and Eriksson together with a good center sometime. Bruno set Loui up for a glorious chance and they swapped that once where Brunnstrom was robbed by Nabokov.

Now the question is if Peterson is out what do you do then?

Neal-Ribiero-Lehts
Brunnstrom-Modano-Eriksson
Ott-Sutherby-Sawada
Lundqvist-Barch-Parrish

Does Conner get recalled? Who else is in north america that has a contract? Lammers? Yikes this is depressing. We could be winless before the deadline.

Sharks fan here. A real stinker of game - one that nobody deserved to win. Terrible showcase for a nationally televised game. The one thing I'm most pissed about was the fact that Razor was not on Versus doing the color. Can anyone explain to me why he didn't call the game? Why in the world would the best, most entertaining color announcer in sports, who knows both of these teams like no other, be replaced by the likes of Eddie Olczyk? What an opportunity missed.

HF - Brunnstrom was definitely looking to create. I just thought he didn't use his linemates enough, particularly Loui. They kinda had the rotating center thing going on after Petersen left, so perhaps he was just trying to do too much on his own.

I just noticed it tonight because it was the first time I got to see him in person and pay attention to what was going around him off the puck. Honestly, I think wanting to do it all himself is a byproduct of generally being by far the most skilled guy on his line. As that isn't the case anymore, he needs to learn to look for his other winger and center, and hell, even an open D. That will all come with time and learning his teammates and the NHL game.

I really liked the Eriksson-Sutherby-Brunnstrom combo when it showed up. They got solid chances, Eriksson, for a guy who is supposed to score 40, could have easily gotten up to 50 if he just finished on most of his golden chances. He drives me crazy because he gets good chances and doesn't finish a lot of them off.

I agree about Nisky and Sydor, they couldn't keep the puck in the zone for ****, and it was annoying.

If we don't call up Wandell, I have no idea how the hell we're going to compete. This is getting insane.

What you just described....was Joel Lundqvist really.

I thought Brunnstrom was one of the best players last night.
