Lets see if Randy Jones can step it up like last year, then we can trade him for more than a 5th rounder.

I'm actually pretty confident tonight.
I said this after game 1 against the Habs in the playoffs, you don't lose games like that and then come out flat the next game (in reference to the Pens game and OT loss to MTL when we were leading until the final mins.) The guys will come out big, and Nitty will have to be elite like he was against 'em in Philly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I swear the last game we played against the Caps (they won 2-1 in OT), we had Timonen and another dman out. Even though I thought we'd get killed, we matched the Caps pretty well despite being so shorthanded.

We had a lot of injuries that game, but Timonen played and played over 27 minutes.

Not going to the game anymore too much work to do. Hopefully we can still pull it off w/out Timonen.

Yeah you're right. The injuries were with the forwards group. Still, I thought we were going to get blown out and we didn't, so you never know what could happen.

Yep, the rest of the D Corps are really going to have to step up.

Maybe this just means that Coburn has to step up and prove he can be that number 1 guy for the team defensively. Put him and Carle up against Ovechkin and let him prove himself to be as solid as we was in last year's playoffs.

key to tonight's game: if we let up a goal, stop the bleeding quickly. 1) don't let up another right away 2) don't put out the fourth line as a response

I think we win a close one tonight, unfortunately I don't feel the same for Riles when he tries Donald, cause you know he is going to give it a go
