CGY and LA

To LA:

Greg Niemsz
Jim Vandermeer
Matt Keetley

To Calgary

Jack Johnson

Calgary needs a puck moving defenseman without removing much off their roster, and in exchange they give up one of their top prospects as well as a good Goalie prospect. Thoughts?

yikes!

I dont think the Kings need another goalie prospect as they already have Bernier. Studs like Jack Johnson dont get traded for spare parts.

Well, i just heard that Jack johnson was on the outs with LA. So i guess this is probably not even close. But i will say that Niemsz is a lot better than spare parts.

So much so that he scored the only regulation goal, and one of the two shootout goals the Kings scored tonight (the other being Doughty) en route to a win.

Seriously, Johnson & Doughty are going to be anchoring the Kings' blueline for the next 10 years. This is silly.

The Kings are at the point where trades will follow the general concept of quantity (to other team) for quality (to Los Angeles).

Sorry but the Kings have 3 great goalie prospects in Quick, Bernier and Zatkoff. Jack is not on the outs in LA. He has been a godsend to the team. I do appreciate the value of some of the players you proposed but if the Kings were to trade Jack it wouldn't be for them.

Check the Kings' record since Johnson's return to the lineup and get back to us.

LA is probably familiar with Nemisz as he plays alongside their prospect Loktionov, But this deal is way too weak. Maybe Nemisz for Preissing and a 4th?

Eh.... Nemisz is a projected #1 center, why would Calgary trade him for Preissing? That's just dumb.

Also, although I agree that the Jack Johnson deal is unlikely, if the Flames wanted to do something like Reghir + Nemisz for J.J., I could see it being a little less far fetched.

The only thing is: The Kings have no reason to trade Johnson atm. They might, if the deal was right, but they'd need a good (enough) reason.

If Nemisz is believed to be a projected #1 Centre and Regher is a damn good #2 D, Why would you consider a trade like that?

I LOVE JMFJ but that's a little crooked LOL
