Here is to them proving me wrong though. LGR!
I dont think thats the case at all.

It may seem that way, but looking back to the first half this team showed me more comeback ability and heart in late games than any other Rangers team in a long time. Despite the horrible play the last month, they still managed to tie a few games late as well.

Its in there somewhere.

I just think its a case of confidence, decisiveness and mental fatigue.

Whether or not a clean slate clears their mind is another story, but i wouldnt question their hearts. Not most of them at least.

I like the forward lines, they seem to make a lot of sense, since we have the players with the most offensive potential on the first line.

The defensive pairings, not so sure, but guess we have to make do with what we have for now.

That being said, Let's Go Rangers!!

That's my biggest question, maybe not all of them but the majority. The last couple times I have heard Gomez talk in an interview I've wanted to snap his neck. He just sounds like he doesn't give a ****. Kind of like they have the "Oh well, we tried" attitude. Of course that could just be the way I'm reading them.

Havent been this excited to watch the Rangers play in a long time. Finally we should be an aggressive team. Should be a fun game to watch.

New avatar, new "catchphrase" in support of the "new" TORTO-RANGERS!

-Also, I have a Brandon Dubinsky "Torto-Rangers" avatar already made if someone wants it...

While I feel like the Ninja Turtles may have been more appropriate, I'm down.

And more capable of surviving in an environment where he works for a strong-headed boss, and that will be a test indeed for the new Rangers coach. He walked in and decided today that Mike Pelino is not an assistant coach. He will use Pelino to help pre-scout opponents, and Pelino may have some other input. But Tortorella made it clear that his assistant coach is Jim Schoenfeld, that Benoit Allaire is the goalie coach, and that is his coaching staff. Pelino will not be on skates at practices, despite Sather’s wishes.

So already it is more interesting than it was yesterday.

what do you think of that?

I think its exactly the right thing to do. He wants a fresh start, and doesn't want anything Renney affiliated to linger in the players heads. Maybe Pelino isn't happy about this as it kind of seems like a demotion, but I feel its the right move by Torts. He wants to be in full control of the team from a coaching standpoint, and getting Pelino off the ice and bench is a good move IMO.

pelino was responsible for the pk afaik, and i dunno if a change was needed there. but well, whatever he thinks will work

What'd be really impressive is if you can turn this...

and make it look something like this...

That'd be really funny!!! LOL

Hopefully today starts a long string of changes that improve this team.
