Sabres should claim him.... He can hit, and used to be able to score...

Ouch..he only has 12 goals in 56 games...and 34 PIMS? He used to be a decent scrapper...that ain't showing much.

Oh yeah, he's the reason we lost Alfredsson and Fisher, who both got injured by Bell like a week before the playoffs, for the series against Pittsburgh.

Remember the good old days when Arnason, Bell, and Calder were the future of the Blackhawks? Good times.

Just heard the same on Leafs Lunch on AM 640.

Rangers pick up Mark Bell.

My condolences.

Yep. Bell goes to the Rangers.

Hockey Central and Leafs Lunch both saying so aswell. This puts them really close to the cap though as Bell has a 2+ million dollar hit. So even at his re-entry waiver price it takes up a chunk of that 1 million they had left over.

Why is this being mocked? This is a no-risk move.

Agreed, if he doesn't work out he will be out of the NHL for good. You would think he will want to play his eye-balls out. Good for the Rangers and to Burke for giving him a shot !!!

Exactly. If he takes the opportunity and is even half the player he was in Chicago, the Rangers make out here. If he flames out... they've given up nothing but a little payroll.
