Svatos is available. Could be helpful for a team looking to make a run in the playoffs. Supplies some secondary scoring.

Bullitin: Nylander Wont Waive For A Non-playoff Team

Sources out of Washington today are reporting that Michael Nylander has nixed a trade to a non-playoff team. Reports indicate George McPhee had lined up a deal with an unnamed western conference team that would have been finalized had Nylander waived his NMC.

Nylander is one of many players with NTC/NMCs that are expected to garner large interest this trade deadline, but will ultimately have the final say on their destination.

Alright I'm officially taking over for Carolina.

The existing review is fairly accurate.. The difference is NOONE is untouchable except Staal. We're looking to make hockey trades moreso than for rentals, but I'll listen to any offer.

Brett Clark is available along with the rest of the Avalanche D-men. If you are interested in acquiring any of these players or any other players on the Avalanche please feel free to contact me.

Playoff Teams

PLAYOFF TEAMS:

Hinote is avaliable for very little to give up (mid round pick). Hinote only makes 1 million this year. So not many worries about cap space.

Valuable 4th liner with plenty of playoff experience to help your team and he has a Stanley Cup to show.

CAROLINA

Almost a repost of the previous GM who had Carolina.. Figured it'd be better to link to me, plus I made a few changes.

Lineup:

Samsonov(2.533)-Staal(4.5)-Ruutu(2.4)
Whitney(3.55)-Cullen(2.875)-LaRose(.875)
Jokinen(1.875)-Brind`amour(3.6)-Eaves(1.4)
Conboy(.487)-Ryan(.475)-Bayda(.475)
Sutter(1.225)

Corvo(2.625)-Gleason(2.75)
Pitkanen(4)-Seidenberg(1.2)
Babchuk(1)-Wallin(1.725)
Kaberle(2.2)

Ward(2.667)
Leighton(.6)

Injuries: Williams(3.5)-Walker(2.5)

Untouchables: Staal
Not Likely Available: Corvo, Cullen, LaRose, Samsonov, Babchuk, Sutter, Ward, Ruutu, Pitkanen, Gleason
On The Block: Williams, Walker, Brind`amour, Eaves, Kaberle, Wallin

Top Prospects:
1. Zac Boychuk
2. Drayson Bowman
3. Jamie McBain
4. Brett Carson
5. Bryan Rodney
6. Zac Dalpe
7. Chris Terry
8. Casey Borer
9. Mike Murphy
10. Bobby Hughes

Season Plan: Make the playoffs. The Hurricanes would like to move any of the players listed as "on the block." The team is looking to acquire top 6 winger talent, but most importantly, is more interested in hockey deals rather than rentals. Moneyball is a key aspect that will be used, were interested in players who are able to make an impact but may fly under the radar.

5 Year Plan: Get bigger, younger, and more skilled. Remove all dead weight from the team(Brind`amour ect.). The team is looking to build around Eric Staal. Brandon Sutter, Zac Boychuk, Drayson Bowman and Jamie McBain are set to take key places on the roster in the coming years.

haha I'd like to pick up Christian Backman off waivers. He would fill my defensive hole from my last trade. I only have a 1/4 of his cap hit no?

If I were Toronto I would pick up Backman just to hurt Montreal. No years left and tons of cap space...

Yeah but it's Backman... If he is in your top 6 you should be asking yourself how you can shore up your D.

I am looking to acquire some young roster player, early picks (This Year preferably), and/or prospects. Contact me if you are interested in anyone on the Avs and maybe we can work a deal out.

PJ Axelsson is available for a long shot prospect or mid round pick.

One of the best defensive players in the NHL, and decent on the PP.
