For those who want to read the story here is the link;

Pretty much talking about we will be buyers and not sellers, but at what price and who's available.

So we'll be promoting the watchmen movie? That's cool!

We might move, but we won't give up too much...Gainey is still looking ahead so he'll play his cards well enought to keep a competitive team for many years to come.

They mention two guys i would like to add (even though theyre not centres) Tkachuk and Smyth. Although i have trouble seeing either of them being traded here with their consent.

That assumes Atlanta will be willing to deal him, which IMHO is highly unlikely.

I think Bob is smart enough to know you build a franchise from the draft and won't make any dumb trades. With the injuries and goaltending problems, he would be kidding himself thinking he was a rental away from the cup. With all the young players on the team, being an underdog will probably be easier than last year finishing 1st.

The reality is that there are not a ton of sellers right now, so they will ask for a lot for average players like Andropov and co.

Smyth I don't want him, makes too much for what he produces. Tkachuk would be ok in the circumstances at the right price.

At this point I'd be shocked if we didn't get Jokinen.

IF he truly is available, Gainey's got to make him his priority...it's a low risk proposition IMO.

jokinen and Morris would be solid additions if we could swing something with PHX...

to Mtl: Jokinen, Morris

to Phx: Pleks, O'Byrne, Carle, one of the KHL Russian assets

Tanguay- Koivu- Kost
Max Pac- Jokinen- Kovalev
Higgins- Lapierre- Lats
Kosto- Chipchura- Begin/Dandy/Laraque/S.Kost

Markov- Komi
Hamrlik- Schneider
Gorges- Morris
brisebois/dandy

Price, Halak

... could do some damage come playoffs...

if we could somehow manage to squeeze Kevin Porter out of PHX as well... he's a little smallish, but had amazing chemistry with Max down in Michigan. Having him and Maxwell duel it out for Koivu's spot down the road would be fine by me
