Buf/Det proposal

This is more of an idea than a proposal

I was thinking that Zhitnik wants a cup so since he and schneider are marketed at the same price why doesn't detroit try to pick up zhitnik.

And since Schneider wants to be a Number 1 d-man on a team Buffalo could sign him and both teams get what they want and maybe give detroit a 3rd round pick with it.

So kind of like a sign and trade deal. What do you think??

Why wouldn't Detroit just sign Zhitnik and keep the pick?

No offense but I'm not even sure that would make sense if there was a cap.

There are no sign and trades in hockey. And anyways... why would Buffalo give up a 3rd to sign an UFA they could sign for free?
