Retiring Numbers

Who do you think will have their numbers retired once they end their career. Obviously Iginla. But are there any others you can see being retired?

Kiprusoff, probably Regehr. Quite likely Phaneuf if he remains a Flame.

apparently al mcinnis is next up to get his jersey retired, after him it will probably be fleury or niewendyk who will both have their numbers retired . as far as vernon goes im not sure but he is from here so he will probably get his number retired. from the current group of players i'd say Iginla for sure and Phaneuf as long as he stays here. Id like to see Regehr too but this isnt an organization that retires a lot of numbers so i have a feeling that players like Regehr and Gary Roberts will probably get left out.

Vernon has his number retired, it was done 2 years ago.

which makes you take everything he said with a grain of salt

MacInnis should be next though, followed by Fleury... and that's it for now... while I loved Nieuwendyk and Roberts I wouldn't have put the Flames franchise label on them... I wold have on MacInnis and Fleury... after that its Iginla easily... and who knows after that... everyone else has alot to prove

Phaneuf and Regehr have the best chances, and Kipper would have to continue to play lights out for the rest of his contract to have a chance I think.

Hopefully Backlund can be included in this talk one day?

What about Niewy in all this. It still looks weird seeing Moss wear 25.

At least your expectations aren't unreasonable

Hahaha fair enough. I just hope he is ready for the big team next season... looks like he could be a real force.

Right now, the only player currently on this team I see being a sure bet to have his number retired is Jarome Iginla.
