Vyacheslav Kozlov to Oilers

The Score was just speculating that Kozlov would be a great fit with Hemsky and Horcoff. I couldn't help but agree.

So what would a deal look like to get him in an Oilers jersey at the deadline. Ideally the deal would involve Cole.

Why would Atl want Cole? Kozlov already said he wont be traded.

Slave Kozlov has a NTC and has said he will not be waiving it. He very much enjoys Atlanta and has reasons to stay in the city because his son is involved in competitive tennis programs in the area.

Just because you say so. Noone in their right 'hockey' mind wants to play in Atlanta. I'm sure for the right incentive he'd wave his NTC...

Interestingly, he's the only guy in ATL with a NTC.

From what I've heard, he absolutely loves playing there. He's not going anywhere, unless they strap him in a chair and emulate that scene from Reservoir Dogs...

Dallas offered him at least $1 million more to go there when he was an UFA. His family really likes Atlanta--you can play tennis out doors year around unlike most other NHL cities.

Kozlov has a no trade clause, and has already stated that he will not waive it. This has been said MANY times on these boards, so STOP making the damn Kozlov proposals.

Considering that Atlanta got a 2nd and 3rd for Schneider, Waddell would at least look for a 1st and a prospect for Kozlov as the starting point.

Let's hope that Kovalchuk's family really loves Atlanta too

Why would Atlanta want a pending UFA? Edmonton has to cough up one of the kids.

Like Dwayne Roloson's kids? He moved them back to Ontario this year.

Kozlov is a talented player for sure, but if by kid you meant Cogs or Gags, no team in the league would trade similar players for Kozlov. Nilsson - debateable.

Doesn't matter anyway, Kozlov ain't coming here.

It's strange, there are a few guys in Atlanta that love playing there. Just imagine if they ever had a competitive team how many UFAs would come knocking.

Kozlov bought a house in Florida last year, and even though Florida would be a great Tennis state for his kid, he's locked in on Atlanta. Dallas went out of their way to sign Kozlov as a UFA, and he still stuck with The Thrashers.

I strongly feel Kozlov, who is Kovalchuk's mentor, has had a profound influence on Kovalchuk's feelings about Georgia and The Thrashers. My hunch is that Ilya stays.
