That's the way I see it also. What's the point of trading a center for a center? We need to add another center.

So gainey wants to add depth to his center line.

I don't think he will acquire a top talent, but more of a 3rd-4th line center .

Could it be one of those ?

Kolanos (Minn)
Armstong (LA)

Today's waiver signing might make it easier for gainey to include plekky in a package for olli, as we once again have five NHL calibre centres, so at least we have a choice, on any given night, between the bottom 3 to center the bottom 2 lines
