How refreshing is it that players in women's college BB don't jump ship after 1 season. Creates continuity and benefits the program. I wish men's college BB had the same rule as football so players would have to stick around for at least 3 years.

The problem I see is not with the NCAA rules, but with the stupidity of the NBA. Everyone is so afraid of passing up a "Lebron" that they keep throwing money at "Kostas"! I certainly don't blame the kids for taking the money and I see a real problem in telling someone of legal age that they can't make a living at their chosen profession. On the other hand, there is no legal right to be employed by the NBA, thus the kid that recently went from high school to Europe until he's eligible for the NBA. He may have started a trend that would, at least, reduce the "one and dones."

It is nice that the women stay four years, though. I'm looking forward to watching some of the youngsters at OSU as they grow together as a team.

Speaking of my soon to be former fav. NFL team:

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/plai...410.xml&coll=2

Quote:
Pro Bowl nose tackle Shaun Rogers has formally asked to be traded or released by the Browns and isn't likely to change his mind, a source close to Rogers said.

Browns coach Eric Mangini has been trying to call the disgruntled tackle, but it's not yet known if the two have talked. Chances are, it wouldn't do much good anyway.

A Browns source said neither Rogers nor his representative has made any demands. Mangini did not immediately respond to a request to be interviewed.
Found the Winslow link as well. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3939777

Sad times for us Browns fans Pub, after the 10-6 season things were looking up.
If Rogers goes I'm gonna be really pissed.
At this point the Jackets are being run better than the Browns.

The Jackets have been run better than the Browns since '99

Sadly Dancin Dougie could pick people from PEI and have a better football team than has been seen here lately.

Rumor is a #2 this year and a #5 next year.

This isn't a funny joke.

The Indians (Mark Shapiro - Exec of the year) and the Jackets make the Browns look bad.

Winslow is a locker room cancer.

I'm glad he's gone.

I think that's what Shockey went for, so that'd be market value.

Talented guy, but definitely doesn't seem to have his head screwed on straight. Might not be as bad a move as first appears (Giants did okay without their stud TE), provided they can find some less heralded guys to produce.

I disagree, this is the first year the Jackets have really been run well.
I thought Phil Savage did a good job. Romeo just wasn't the right guy.
