Tangradi to Toronto

(Probably bull) rumors have it that Tangradi was traded to Pittsburgh so he can be traded/packaged to Toronto, as Burke appears to have a total man-crush on the guy from his tenure as Anaheim's GM. If Burke is as high on him as believed, he'd probably be willing to overpay for him (considering Tangradi helps to stock a dire weakness in the Pens prospect pool and it'd probably be the only way to pry him away).

Not that I want to trade him (as I'm starting to get a man-crush on the guy, too), but how much could the Pens get for Tangradi, if Burke is desperate to get him?

He just got traded and most of the people here heard about him for the first time yesterday and now he is already getting into proposals?

I love the saying "man-crush". All it makes me think of is Pierre McGuire talking about Hodgson or Eberle at the World Juniors.

With Crosby, Malkin and Staal all signed long term, I don't see why the Penguins would be in a rush to trade away Tanardi.

not really ...the Leafs dont have anything good enough (except for Schenn and our 1st, and our 1st is questionable now) to offer for this up and coming star

Huh? The only reason people talked about Jeff Finger was to hack on his unwarranted contract.

At least people are saying good things about Tangradi...and overrating his skill, not his silly contract.

We've had this guy for 10 minutes and people are already dealing him? jesus...

Our system was depleted, so we made a bold deal and traded a talented offensive defenseman for a top 6 forward and a nice prospect to bolster our prospects...

Of course we are going to trade him a few days later...

Schenn or a lottery pick for Tangradi? The Leafs have plenty to offer the Pens for Tangradi, the question is why would the Pens do this? The Pens have very little in terms of prospects and Tangradi, along with Caputi, give the Pens two pretty decent young forwards who can be in the lineup next season.

I know the Pens want to make the playoffs but Shero shouldn't be stupid either. He dealt an asset in Whitney to get someone to help him now and in the future. No sense in dealing a pretty good prospect in Tangradi just to squeak into the PO.

Shero said that Tangradi was who they wanted in the 2nd round in 07, but he was off the board by then.

He's not untouchable, but Shero didn't acquire him just to trade him.
