Any interest? He has been decent. Great team player but inconsistent. 2nd round pick fair value? He is a UFA at seasons end.

On the ice he is. He stands up for everyone. He got his face beat in, in Boston a few months back and will challenge tougher guys for the team.

He has been decent but declining ice time, he was currently Florida's sixth d-man, led to an outburst of complaint yesterday after the game and he was sent home for disciplinary reasons.

Florida D is too well stocked right now for Boynton to get a lot of ice time, but he's not a bad player. To me he's seemed a bit disconnected from the team as the success started coming, so I imagine that he might be feeling left out or something with less ice time. But he is a great team guy, will stick up for his guys without any regard for himself (especially Ballard who's played with him back in Phoenix too).

As for what Florida could get for him, I wouldn't expect much at this point... UFA next season, a bit pricey, was sent home, Florda doesn't want to take on unnecessary salary from other teams... I would think that we'd want a pick, and that teams wouldn't want to give anything but a low one.

I always liked Boynton. He was by far my favorite Bruin when he was here, but he has a way of wearing out his welcome.

Things didn't work out in: Washington, Boston, Phoenix and potential Florida. At some point you have to call a spade a spade.

Vancouver will give you d-men O'Brien and Nycholat (for depth only) along with speedy forward Raymond and 1st pick in '10 for JBo....then you guys can go ahead and trade Boyton and not worry about your defence

He probably had something to say to DeBoer about being benched for the entire 3rd last night, and probably said too much. It's his own fault though, he was playing badly. He can be decent or even borderline good, but when he makes bad decisions and his positioning is off, he can look pretty bad. He's been up and down this season. I hope we can get a pick for him.
