Faceoffs

We suck. This is the thing that is night in night out the worst part of the team. This is seriously overlooked. Faceoffs = Possession.

This is from Feburary 14th
EV % PP % SH % Tot %

It we had some cap room, how good would Brind'Amour look for a playoff run as the 3rd line center, and key faceoff guy...

Look at the faceoff percentages.

50% for Richards and 47% for Carter

Yep.

Further proof were in cap hell. Teams not making the playoffs would take pics for these types of players...but were in no way, shape or form, in any situation to add more salary.

Flyers 2008/09 - 09/10 - 11/12 = CAP HELL.

If Metropolit has a higher faceoff percentage than Richie then that is a problem.

Would be nice to have that guy you can send out to win the faceoffs and then get off the ice.

lol metrolpoit took about 600 less faceoffs. your arguement is the teams is bad, i say your incorrect. based on stats we are on par. the league is made to be even. were not plaaying the thrashers 82 games a year.

Faceoffs are an important part of the game. Hell who knows if Richie wins that faceoff in overtime maybe the Habs never score. Faceoffs = Puck possession.

No one is saying we need to go sign or trade for a faceoff guy but we need to get better

not all face-offs carry equal significance...a neutral-zone draw in a 6-1 regular-season boring game is not nearly as important as an offensive-zone draw while trailing by a goal late in Game 7

now, show me what our situational face off percentage is.

you cant look back on a game using IFS.. if richie got the faceoff... if we scored more on all them powerplays... if we put a french canadien goalie in against the habs.. if, if, if.... if my aunt had a penis she'd be my uncle.
