And with a change of font colour for just a select few words, it could also be applicable to a number of Habs fans too! The glory of the internet

Just a shame they don't have an exact matching colour here

Guess the internet isn't that good after all.

I think its great that THN thinks so highly of our canadiens' prospects, and I have high hopes for those guys, but I still think the ranking's a bit out of tune overall. I mean, Pacioretty seems like a good one, but I don't think I'd rank him in the top ten with what we've seen so far (top 20 for sure though). But idk might just be me and an error of perception (or insight).

He's in the NHL at 20, 2 years after Jr.A and putting up points when playing with skill players. What more do you want? He has a lot of untapped potental.

Just to let you guys know..THN has made it clear that with their Future Watch issues, it's the teams scouts and NHL scouts that collaborate together to release these rankings and reports.

So technically, it's scouts..not THN.

Which is even better for us that scouts think so highly of our prospects.

Giroux is from Northern Ontario so it makes him tougher!

He is a great talent and will be the offensive leader in Philly within two years.

What a hater !! Tell me what you don't like about Claude Giroux ?! Is it because he owned the Moose Heads so many time when he played in the LHJMQ that you're still mad about it ?!

Did you watch him in last night game ?! The guy is fast, amazing technical skills, works hard, is good in his own zone, amazing playmaker, incredible hockey sense, already plays on Philadelphia first powerplay unit and is such a cutie

He was my pick in 2006, so sad Timmins picked Fischer instead...

This guy will be a beast in 2 years, mark my words !!

With all the picks you would have made, it's shocking you're not an NHL scout!

Also, Higgins and Chipchura are in the NHL, while Sergei's in Hamilton, HAHAHAHAH

Touché!
Giroux may have a good career ahead. Nobody knows for sure yet. But just watching one game is obviously not enoug h to judge a newbie player.

That said, I'm intrigued to see what will become of our prospects.

He's soft? His skillset is overrated? He's not very good defensively? He's a dime-a-dozen player found in the draft? He's not unique in any way? He wouldn't fill a need here at all?

I'm not that big of a follower of the Mooseheads to be upset, but when I did see him go head to head with Voracek.. This ****** goalie named Pelletier let in two weak goals scored by Giroux and Giroux set up another goal. Voracek mounted one goal and four primary assists to rally the Mooseheads to a victory. Once the Mooseheads picked up the game and played physically, I don't remember seeing Giroux on the ice.

Cant say I'm a big Giroux fan, but he isn't really soft. As foir the dime and dozen arguement? Who isn't? Top 3-5 picks? Well he was drafted in the 20's. I prefer Fischer for what he brings, but saying Giroux sucks just because some guys think he's better then Fischer is a bit dumb.

Kinda sick of the, You can't not hate one of the 2 players in the debate thing.

I love the Future Watch issues, but I just wish the write-ups on the prospects were longer...it's pretty short generic write ups.

That's too high. The Hockey News list is prone to over-rating players from the recent Canadian World Junior Team. They do this every year.

Giroux is a good little player, but Fischer has a ton of upside. He gets underrated a lot because he's hard tough luck with injuries in 2 of his 3 NCAA seasons. The guy is 6'4" a right hand shot and very mobile...gotta love that package.
