Possible Pronger to Bruins deal

http://www.stanleycupofchowder.com/2...ne-update-w-ja and Inside Hockey and The Drive for Twenty Five.

Yikes. They're discussing in on the trade board.

If this is true, we need another D. Boston will be unbelievable.

EDIT: The deal includes a prominent roster player as well, NOT Kessel. Bergeron? Ryder? Krecji? (discussion on the TEAM 990 now)

I would think Pronger could fetch more than that.

Hope it's not true. Chara-Pronger would be scary in the playoffs.

Well 3 things:

1) Highly unreliable source from Murphy

2) The return for Anaheim isn't convincing at all, for Pronger and Moen? I'd expect quality returns and not potential this and that

3) If this deal is done, then good for Boston. It's supposedly their year, let's suck it up and take the battle to them

No whining and *****ing today, Bruins are doing what they must to win the SC, I don't expect less from Gainey and the Habs.

Go Habs Go

I think Bergeron will be part of the deal. But we will see.

The guy who is the source is on Inside Hockey, so I doubt it's a job. It's also scary as hell.

I doubt the Ducks couldn't do better in return for Pronger...

but if this is true I don't see any team in the east beating boston in the playoffs

True, which suggests they know what they're talking about!

"There are other teams (I'm told New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington), still pushing hard, but Pronger to Beantown is very real!"

Geez that doesn't soud like it is a done deal to me! It has the same tone as Ek.

What is ironic is those were the exact players the TSN crew were throwing out there last night as a scenario.

I think I also read the same players (Colbourne, Stuart and either Kessel or Kobasew or Bergeron) earlier this week.

I'd be surprised if that gets it done since we've heard Phil Kessel all week. Does this even fit the cap space?

Sounds like wishful thinking to me.....

The Bruins already seem to have some cap issues for next season and taking on Pronger's 6.3M for next season would put the Bruins in cap hell without sending salary somewhere..They will have to ship out salary to get their RFA's signed for next season plus having to sign Thomas....

Would be a steal for the Bruins though if true...

Stuart, Colborne and a 1st? For Pronger and Moen. If it happens, Chiarelli is a genius and officially the best GM of the league. And some others GM's will have to respond to the following question...."And you were not able to beat this?"

This would be the type of proposition that would be so ridiculized on the trade rumors board...As good as Colborne "might" be 'cause he is having a pretty impressive freshman year in the NCAA.

Remember: Pronger has a NTC. And from everything I've read, he dictates his future.

I think Murph watches TSN...it is exactly what they said last night.

I'm not necessarily talking about the Habs. But there has to be other teams he's interested in.

No really, everyone take a huge breather.

I find it funny how when its involving the Habs we reject any trade as ridiculous when the Habs don't have to overpay, but now since its Boston, with a trade that is about one-way as it can get, well, let's all go CAAAAAAAAAA-rAAAAAAAAAzyyyyyyy.

Come on, if the GM in Anaheim has any wits, he will take the price up with a bidding war, just like Atlanta did.

I just hope the Habs can come in and fetch him at the last minute like Shero did with Hossa. That would be awesome.

I woulxd hope Gainey would not beat this...it would take D'agostini McDonagh/Subban and a 1st rounder. No thanks.
