Colbourne is not an ordinary prospect my friend. Regardless, I don't pass judgement on trades until they actually happen.

Actually we don't have a Colborne in our ranks. If Anaheim is not only going with a great prospect but also a need for a centerman with size....needless to say, we don't have it. But even as the quality of the prospect, after watching him in 2 games, Colborn is downright impressive for a freshman. His stats are great and his play is great as well. Only guy that could be compared to him is Subban and I'm NOT interested in trading him no matter what. So we don't have any other guys like that unless we would be willing to trade Pacioretty which we are also not ready to do. But I can tell you that with the stats and his play, Colborne would be our #1 prospect and prospect that we would be even more thrilled to have AHEAD of MaxPac (bold statement but that I really believe.)

So the key is Colborne 'cause who cares about Stuart when you'll have Pronger and then other D's in their system will fill the void in 2 or 3 years and the Boston 1st rounder will be really high. So it's the immediate present for the future. And as great as Colborne looks like, nothing is sure about how he'll do. It is still to me not enough 'cause I really had thought that Anaheim would not have done a firesale.

And it is minor, but getting Moen on top of that will make that team even more to play against.

I changed the thread title to make it sound less dramatic. This hasn't been confirmed by a major news source, and while Murphy might be in the know with the team, his blog doesn't warrant the same sort of credibility as a major network's would.

Regardless, Colborne is still a prospect and there's no assurance in that.

And I'm not passing judgment on the trade, I'm passing judgment on the rumor.

Armstrong and Christensen were that important to Pittsburgh, really? The main problem with the team is their top 2 defensemen were out for extended periods of time at the beginning of the season.

LOL @ ANA if they do that trade, unless that ''unnamed player truly is Kessel''.

I'd be happy to see Kessel moved, he's got crazy potential.

We are getting the better D man. Habs are in the mix for Jay-Bo and Ek says "The Canadiens looked very good last night, but they are not done moving players at all. There could be a major deal still in their plans I was told last night...MAJOR..."

If trade is true....Boston fans have real reason to be excited this playoff year. I wish our GM would take a gamble like this

They don't get Pronger for some scraps and a prospect. It makes no difference in the end because Thomas is gonna fail, only a matter of time.

For what it's worth, I just heard on Team 990 that Bston must ante up a "frontline" forward that is not Phil Kessel, together with the other assets already discussed.

Anyone catch Semin's OT goal? Thomas pulled a Cloutier. Good for a laugh.

If that's the case I think Bergeron is that player....The Bruins will have to send some salary to the Ducks to offset Prongers 6.3M on the books for next season and to be able to get Thomas,Kessel and Krejci signed....

I really think that's the case. Will Boston do it? If I was their GM, I would do it. Bergeron is only one hit away from season/career ending.
