He will play 53 games this season provided he is back next Wednesday and plays out the remainder of the season without further injuries.

He will also most likely do worse than last season in CGY points-wise.

That is pretty obvious considering he will have played 20 fewer games.

Yes, but I do not consider injuries to a valid excuse when tailing up one's season point totals. I just look at totals.

Latendresse >>> Gaborik then?

I think calculating PPG is a better way to look at things.

If anything, Gaborik comes back mid-March and has enough time to rack up more points than Latendresse

No contract for you.
It really has been a long time since Tanguay has been out since people seem to remember him sucking. When he comes back, we'll see what you have to say. It's soooo soft of him to get injured after getting hammered like that. A REAL hockey player's ligaments and bones are made of adamantium. The way he plays with koivu and his puck possession are going to make you change your mind. Big part of our puzzle.

No, because I use point totals as ones value relative to his own stats.

Dun-dun

Actually, not to take this thread off track, but the expression "going up/down to Montreal" is based on the current of the St-Laurent. From Moncton to Montreal, he's going up the current.

When I was a kid, I always wondered why my parents were saying : "Were going down to Montreal" when we live in Gatineau. Until I asked and they explained where the expression came from.

So his average point per game totals are not relative?

One Question: Does the salary of players on IR count against the cap?
