I really don't see the Canucks moving Bieksa or Edler unless it's as part of a package for a sizeable upgrade, for example to Anaheim for Pronger or to Florida for JayBo. While adding St.Louis would give the Canucks another great top 6 forward, it would open up a huge hole on defense.

This is a tricky thread - you go in thinking you're going to be looking at a St. Louis / Vancouver proposal, but NO it's a Tampa / Vancouver proposal.

I was fully expecting a trade between the Blues and the Canucks not a trade bringing St. Louis to Vancouver. As for the trade, I can't see Vancouver doing this.

Tampa Bay wouldn't do it. I might be putting words in their mouth but I'm pretty sure St. Louis is just as important to the organization as Lecavalier is. He's not untouchable but a Grabner/Bieksa package doesn't get the job done for THEM, imo. That said, the Canucks wouldn't want to give up more than that (if they would even consider that!), so a trade seems unlikely...

Starts to be a sideways move, increase the forward production, taking away production from the defence,Cap proplems next year and loss of young talent.

Maybe O brien,Raymond and a pick-but Tb doesnt do this,
