My feeling is that he'll be claimed quickly. Good luck, Tom.

Not so sure somebody is going to jump on that contract with two more years left on it. The guy aso hasn't played in months and has had some mystery case of vertigo. The guy could probably use a some playing time in Manchester. If he gets picked up, good for him.

Sort of off topic but anyone else think Westgarth will be getting called up? I certainly do.

Never say never but I really doubt it. At some point ownership is going to get tired of spending millions every year for nothing in return...

As I suggested on the trade rumors forum, I think they should move him for another "bad" contract but in exchange for a more useful player, like say Jochen Hecht, former linemate of Handzus, and someone who can replace (and be an upgrade) over Kyle Calder once he's gone.

We might as well keep a standing "told you so" thread on the LA and Ottawa boards as we toss defencemen back and forth. (Corvo and Preissing).

I really hope someone claims him, but in these times even if there was a good player out there it hurts to take a contract and not give one up. Here's hoping...

Moller needs to be recalled because his conditioning assignment in Manchester is over.

Or they can just send him to Juniors which seems like a bigger possibility than it was when the season started.

Moller is already on the Kings 23-man roster, that's one of the conditions to a conditioning assignment.

Apparently there were no takers on TP in the days before the deadline. So much for all you posters who kept including him in your proposals and thinking he'd fetch us a late round pick. I have to wonder if he suffered from the same kind of dizziness that Jason Allison did before he left.
Good luck in the AHL, Tom!

I'd be all good with that (maybe not so good for Preissing but hey, what can you do?). A couple of seasons back when they sent TvO here for the playoffs he was a huge part of the Narchs playoff success...

Waiving him doesn't open up a roster spot but that's pretty much irrelevant given NHL rosters go to unlimited on Wednesday...
