I think St.Louis would be great, but I wouldn't dream of dealing Grachev for him.

He's too old to give up anything significant for him. He's not the sniper the Rangers need. He'll come here and score 20-24 goals. It's not bad but you don't give up major assets like Grachev or Sangs for that.

It's number 3....backhand top-shelf on Henrik

I wonder if Torts is responsible for this rumor coming out with a couple days away from the deadline. He may be pushing sather to get St Louis.

If he was 27, I'd send Grachev and a pick the other way.
34 in June? No Thanks.

I'm not going to comment on whether I think this will happen or even if I think it's a good idea or not.

I just want to know why we can never have a player like that at MSG when they are in their prime.

The garden would explode every night.

pfffft

My deadline day predictions....

Rozsival
Prucha
Anisimov
Sangs

for

St. Louis
Prospal

Nigel Dawes

For

Ian White

Blair Betts

for

3rd round pick

Naslund Gomez St Louis
Prospal Drury Callahan
Avery Dubinsky Zherdev
Sjostrom Korps Orr

Redden White
Staal Girardi
Kalinin Mara

Just remember if you can get $7M worth of production out of a $4m contract you can cheat in other areas of the club...like....what the Rangers did with Jagr the past 3 years...

Just because Grachev was mentioned in the article doesnt mean they have to trade Grachev.

If we could St. Louis WITHOUT trading Grachev, Sangs, or DZ then I would do it. Then again that probably won't happen because I'm sure TB would want one of them.

Why is Grachev being so overrated here? He has proven NOTHING at the NHL or AHL level and you wouldn't give him up for a proven high scoring winger which the Rangers need very badly right now? Once again HF Ranger fans overrating prospects.

No offense, but I hope you're as authentic as Miss Cleo when it comes to prognosticating. The team's top two prospects, a slightly overpaid defenseman and a good, relatively cheap tweener/energy player for a 34 year old winger? That package could get SO much more than St. Louis and Prospal.

Maybe because he is our only prospect in the top 20 in the NHL, and has shown he can be a force in the NHL. It's pretty hard for a prospect to show a lot at the NHL level, when, ya know they're a prospect. You'd be Neil Smith to do this trade.

I agree, I'd do a St. Louis trade if it doesn't involve Grachev. He's 33 ok, you figure he's got what 3-4 good years left in him? His cap hit is only 4 the next 2 years anyway.
