Cap hit of $6,500,000 and signed till 2011/2012, haven't heard much about this guy moving. Is it cause of his large contract?

That and the fact he has a NTC that he is not willing to waive since he is happy in PHX.

wow. That has to be the worst contract in the league as far as value goes. He is pretty much washed up. They might have to waive him.

He won't be waived. No one will pick up that contract.

He plays just well enough to not be waived. If a Morris trade happens, I doubt a Jovo trade will unless at least one NHL ready defenseman comes back. I don't think moves will be made to give David Hale MORE ice time. At least on purpose.

He's 32, and he'll probably get a solid 35 points a season till the end of his contract... It's a big cap hit but PHX is better off with him than without him...
Just my opinion though!

He's a good defensman, he just needs to be more consistent.

Jovo is a good defencmen but you have to take the good with the bad with him. He can make really nice offensive rushes up the ice but he also can make really bad passes resulting in giveaways. I guess it comes with being an offensive d-man. I don't think the coyotes will deal him.

Not even close, he actually knows what his own zone looks like. Also, hes been pretty much even since after the first month or so.

Yes, Jovo has been more physically aggressive, and defensively responsible than he has in many years, this season. Which, somewhat, makes up for his dip in production. Everybody on the team is feeling that, though. Other than Doan, the entire squad has struggled to put up points. It's why we're one of the lowest scoring and losingest teams in the NHL. It's not Jovo's fault the team can't score. It's Wayne Gretzky's fault. Jovo's production has suffered as a result. Which is the same reason I'd like to hang onto Olli Jokinen and fire Wayne Gretzky.
