Looks like we're getting Giroux and Timonen back for tonight.
Painkiller? When that album came out every guitar student I had wanted to learn that solo with the sweeping arpeggios. I knew those two mooks could never pull it off live let alone have recorded it themselves-brutal.
I wouldn't be surprised if either team swings a deal before gametime. Its a sad fact that games on the eve of deadline day are tentative and pretty flat. Either way I'll be looking for a return to team defence tonight. The last 2 games have been somewhat alarming and a clear indication that we are nowhere near the elite of the East. Although I hate to fan these flames, John Stevens should be looking over his shoulder to see if John Paddock is making his way across the parking lot. Given the Flyers history regarding "contender" teams, I don't think they'd hesitate at all in showing him the door if management feels he's lost control of his team and players. Either way should have a better idea what direction this team is heading at 10 tonight.
Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will be in the lineup tonight when the club takes on the Boston Bruins at the TD Banknorth Garden (7:00 p.m., Comcast SportsNet). Timonen has missed the last four games with the flu. The Flyers held an optional skate this morning in preparation for the game.
Also, the Flyers announced that forward Claude Giroux has been recalled from the Phantoms, and Nate Guenin and Jared Ross have been reassigned back to the Phantoms.
Giroux, 21, has four goals and seven assists for 11 points and 12 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Flyers this season.
So let me understand this, The Rangers Organization would rather have Sean Avery over Brendan Shanahan (oversimplification I know) Factoring in that cancerous dressing room, and some of those ridiculously pricey and lengthy contracts, is there a better example of an over the hill, past his prime GM then Glen Sather. Should be Hilarious to watch a douc***g like Avery and a hard liner like Torts.
