I'm gonna say no. He's a steady top 6 defenseman who is under $1M through next season. That's something we desperately need, without considering he's our 2nd best defensive prospect and will turn into a hell of a shutdown d-man.
He makes so little, and probably won't ever make much, because he won't put up good offensive numbers. That is absolutely key to our cap, since we will most likely be hugging the cap year in and out. He's our best defender right now behind Kimmo, and we really can't afford to loose someone like him.
parent is going to be a stud, wait till he gets that mean streak in him like hatcher and smith had.
I think he's going to be a stud as well but if you're waiting for a mean streak I think you might be waiting a long time. It's not his game and he's said as much. He's much more happy with a consistent poke check as opposed to a bone jarring hit which is subject to more risk.
As to the original question, unless you can snag an absolute top player like a JayBo it would be very hard to deal him.
Whats going to be unreal is when Sbisa puts on a few pounds. People laugh but that kid can lay out hits, and doesn't get caught out often
Your damn right, I remember some pretty nice hits this year from him...and he was only 18 freaking years old. When he is 25 he is going to be really good. Didn't Richards say Sbisa would be our best player someday or something like that?
