Also, the Flyers announced that forward Claude Giroux has been recalled from the Phantoms, and Nate Guenin and Jared Ross have been reassigned back to the Phantoms.

I guess that was Guenin's cup of coffee

He was recalled for salary cap reasons, his salary fit in order to get Briere into the lineup Sunday. Without Timonen, there was a need for a sixth d-man.

Sounds like a good name for a band

I am so happy that Giroux is back up with the Flyers. Hopefully he will be able to stay up with the Flyers now, although I know the sending back to the Phantoms and being recalled had everything to do with Salary Cap stuff.

LET'S GO FLYERS

Beat those Bruins and get closer to those stinken Devils for first in the Atlantic!

Ok, maybe he doesn't have to replace Upshall on the left side but what has Uppy done for us lately aside from bad penalties and wreckless skating? I don't think I've seen him do anything other than speed down the left side, wind up and take a slap shot that every goalie and their brother is expecting.

I understand the energy and tenacity he brings to the forecheck but sadly I haven't seen any of that ethic turn into anything positive either.

Just my observations lately.

My only class of the day was cancelled, Giroux was recalled, Timonen is back. The only thing that could make this day any better is a Flyers W.

just tell em you love BU hockey and you will be fine

Lucic hurt his hand in the Ducks game. At least thats what I think. He got into that fight with Brown and he was shown in the box looking and flexing the hand, after he served his time he went to the lockerroom and didnt return.

John Stevens said he will play Giroux with Danny Briere and Scottie Upshall. He thinks Giroux will open tonight's game against the Bruins at center with Briere on wing. Briere will take faceoffs given his experience.

I think we win with all the guys back in the lineup and no Thomas in net.
We need some points over the Habs.

I think I've been allowed to hear JJ maybe twice this year so far. Listening to guys like Edwards and Steigerwald just make me cringe.

Lets return to our winning ways, but more importantly win this one for the recently released Philly mob soldier Frank "Windows" Narducci Jr. Just did 22 years, went in 30 came out 52, ouch. Franks younger brother, Phil Narducci got a life sentence at the tender age of 25 and Franks father, Frank Sr. was whacked in 1982, shot six times in the head and neck. For whatever it didn't stop his kids from joining the Mob family that killed their father.

Frank Jr would really enjoy a Flyers win tonight after 22 years inside the can.

Anybody know of any webcasts that they can PM me? I've heard that atdhe.net is not streaming nhl games anymore, that site was a life saver during nights I have class and a flyers game was on. Like tonite!

Mine too! especially since I will be in attendance this evening.

I hope Giroux is centering and that they have chemistry together. It will be so nice to have someone who can finish on the receiving ends of those passes Giroux makes.

I believe you can watch this game for free on NHL.com. All games are free for this week only including expanded coverage of the trade deadline.

we have guys coming off of injuries/sickness so i wouldn't expect everyone to be firing on all cylinders. this is going to be a huge test for this team.

Kimmo! Danny! Claude!
This is the healthiest we've been all year. It's almost too good to be true....

Quote:
Were kinda anxious to see him and Danny play together," Stevens said. "They seem to have good chemistry and read off each other. They look great in practice. Im anxious to see them together in a game.
Hopefully things click immediately, and they net a few.

GO Flyers! 2 POINTS BOYS
