We do. Is Sather on Prozac? First, hired coach with no ties to Alberta. Then starts to admit his mistakes by shopping Gomer and shipping out all his signings.

I personally don't think Sather bringing back Avery is a "Woops, I effed up by letting him go" move...it was still IMO a smart move to not sign Avery to 4 years 4 million. Avery is still a 3rd line player, maybe a 2nd liner on a good day. Sather saw a chance to get Avery for the dollar amount he would've much rather preferred.

he wasnt worth 4 million a year. Looked what happened..........it just turns out they got him for 2 and yea he will be great at that price

3rd line LW with Korps at C and Cally on the R

they have 5 of the top 6 forwards set and the 4th is consistant

With that I can see them bringing in a guy like Schubert from Ottawa as the 7th Dman and extra forward. carry only 2 spares to fit salary in

Move Kalinin for a tougher 6th Dman and move a pick, Dawes, Prucha for a top 6................crap even Satan is better than what they have now

am I still the only one that thinks Sather really just liked Voros size and didn't expect Voros to do what Avery did?

Yeah, he rather give that money to Voros, Rismiller & Kalinen.

I agree. There is nothing else going to happen. Waving is a sign of Sather being done.

They won't panic. If they can get even a guy like Svatos as a top winger Gomez will atleast have someone to pass too

I'm speechless about some of this. Nobody would give up a 5th for Morrison, Voron or Satan?

It wont work like this. Should be contract exchange similar to Reitz for Fritsche trade. First, player is announced as being available by wavering. Then, he clears the wavers and trade takes place. In this case the other team besides the pick or whatever is trying to unload the otehr contract they want to dump.

this pretty much allows all teams to see who is available for very little without everyone taking the time to call every GM

It didn't take very long for me the first time around to decide that Avery is a hell of a hockey player and the real deal as agitator. Voros got off to the good start but it didn't take very long to see that he wasn't in Sean's league in anything. A good move.

Aaron Voros: great human being. Not great hockey player. Tough business. Best of luck to him, and thanks for the Playstation Line.

I think Dallas is gonna claim Voros. Isn't Ott suspended? Maybe a gentlemens agreement between Sather and Dallas if Avery made it to the Rangers on re-entry. Then again I could be dead wrong.

I think you are not wrong. Those things should have a verbal agreement for sure. How far that agreement extends is a good question, though.

Yup, at 2M/year Avery can play third line minutes, and be one of the most effective 3rd liners in the league. Glad to have you back Sean!!!

Hope he gets picked up, hate to see players signing multi-year contracts and being in the minors.
