Sources say Murray has received considerable interest in Neil who is still several days away from returning from a serious leg laceration.

Included among the teams believed to most interest are the San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings.

Roenick-Lemieux-Neil would be an awesome 4th line for the playoffs.

Neil for a 2nd and Logan Couture.

Schubert makes a mean schnitzel. Worth it.

I'm hoping to package Neil and Kuba (if a team needs both positions) together to get 1 decent draft pick or decent prospect instead of trading them seperately for multiple lesser pick/prospect.

Fisher, Schubert, Gerber and Neil for Couture and Marleau?

Overpayment by Ottawa. We'll take Boyle as well.

Unbelievable... the Sharks are going to have to overpay for this package.

I wouldn't trade Schubert alone for that.

Take out Fisher and Neil and maybe Murray will listen.

How good is Kuba? From an SJ point of view, if we were to add something it would be a Dman and a sandpaper guy so it makes sense to me.

K, no need to get distressed, lets work out a deal here:

Gerber, Schubert, Fisher, Neil, Ruutu for Marleau, Boyle, Couture, Michalek, Nabokov and a the Sharks next 5 first rounders.

Close?

I think the value's a little light from San Jose, but Murray might listen.

We can't. San Jose doesn't draft/develop Russians. Unless you want Alexei Semenov, in which case we'll give you an additional 1st to take him.

He's a very solid Dman both offensively and defensively. He can man the point on the PP no problem and is underrated defensively. He's not overly physical or flashy, but he makes good decisions and quietly gets the job done. Leads the Sens in +/-. He'd make a great addition on your second pairing.

I think the asking price is a 1st, but I know we already briefly had that, so I know you guys don't have one. NHL ready prospect and a 2nd?

I guess Ottawa and SJ just aren't good trading partners.

Is someone injured ? Because your defense corps is outstanding.

Kuba is basically an above-average 2nd pairing defenseman.

He's more likely to go to a team like Boston if they don't get Pronger or Kaberle, as they really have a "top 3" more than a "top 4" like the Sharks have.

We like collecting defensemen here in Ottawa. We have like 9 (thousand)

Ok, ok, ok

Here it is:

Neil to the Sharks for Thornton, Marleau, Setoguchi, Boyle, Couture, Nabokov, Semenov, 15 first rounders and a vial of Vincent Damphousse's sperm.

Value could well be there... I'm just worried about messing with the team's chemistry for our push for the last playoff spot.

I feel like we're mortgaging a bit of our future too...

The vial is intriguing though...
