Boston takes Green.

If contracts come into play give me Richards. Green is going to be a $6+ million man very very soon.

Put Mike Green on the Devils and they don't lose another game all season. He is the exact type of player this team needs.

Boston takes Green easily.

If I'm starting a franchise.... I probably take Richards.

Green is signed through 2011-12 (3 more years after this) at 5.25M/, and will still be RFA at the end. Just clarifying 'very very soon'.

Caps fan, and I might actually go with Richards. He brings so much to the table, as much as I love what Green does. I know there are more players like Richards in the league than Green, but he's just so damn scary every time he's on the ice. Maybe I've just gotten used to Green... :thisiswherethe'shrugging'smileywouldbe:

I dont know what is sexier than a defenceman about to score 30+ goals and a point per game.

Crosby
Malkin
Richards
Staal

Not bad down the middle... The two best point producing centers with two of the better shutdown centers right behind them. Honestly, at this point, I don't think the Pens would even need wingers.

I didn't know if you meant for my team or who is better or what.

I picked Green because Vancouver could really use a puck-moving defenseman (especially of Green's caliber).

But if I was building a team, Richards would be the centerpiece.

Thought this thread would be about their new found NHL records that were conceived this year.

Green. There are plenty of 25-30 goal scoring forwards.

And most of them aren't punks like Richards. He needs someone to call his bluff and put a thorough beat down on him. People give him way too much slack, he wants to play the tough guy, fine, he should have to back it up a little more often.

He gets a lot of shorties because the system gives him a lot of opportunity for them. I will give him credit for finishing them well though.

Richards. Basically the same PPG, Richards is better defensivly, does more things well than Green, and is one of the better captains in the league.

Richards whines entirely too much, but I'd still pick him all things being even.

Richards is a great player, but he's become a bit overrated on these boards. He's not THAT great, guys.

I'll take Green.
