Is this the rumoured deal where Boston gets Pronger and Anaheim gets 1st + Colborne + player to be named? That player being Bergeron now it seems lol.

Would be a good deal for both sides. Boston needs to get that edge to compete in the later rounds of the playoffs.

I think if I was on the receiving end of "Bergeron and picks" for Pronger, my mind would only register "picks". I wouldn't touch Bergeron.

SC is on the ball.

Chara/Pronger on the same D is still immensely scary.

Homer much?

Well if the Ducks do move Pronger, they will not be taking back a lot of salary. Murray has been told to cut back on salaries, so I highly doubt they take on Bergeron's long term contract.

Unnamed player was Bergeron. Makes sense since he's making a lot of money, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about losing him.

I'm a homer because I believe Bergeron is a future 1st line center? Ok...

I think Anaheim's better off moving Niedermayer than Pronger; at least with Pronger they won't have a player who sits out half a year wondering if he's coming or going.

One of Chara or Pronger on the ice at all times during the playoffs? Damn.

I hope this happens just so I can see it.

Putting those 2 together at important times and its basically building a brick wall around the crease. Not to mention the PP shots.

As long as Savard's on the team, I don't see Bergeron ever replacing him. Add in the yet-unsigned Kessel and Krejci, and it makes Bergeron quite expendable.

Even with Bergeron's injury history, it just seems like a lot to give up when you include Colborne and the 1st. I'm bullish on Pronger, and I would love what he can bring, but who is the 3rd line center now? On the other hand, you have to give to get, so who knows. It certainly wouldn't be the only move Chiarelli makes if he does pull it off. Bruins fans should get used to Axe on one of the top 3 lines...that's for sure.
