Really depends on what the picks are for me to say if I'm for or against. I'd prefer to keep Bergeron but in the case where you can acquire a player like Pronger it's hard to say no.

Yea.... Keep the 25 year old.... or the 33 year old. Both will probably ask for a similar price.... I keep Bergy over Savard.

my only concern from the B's perspective is that that adds 1.5 mil to next years already tight cap space. It would suck if that meant loosing Kessel or Krejci to an offer sheet

If a team wants to give multiple 1st rounders. That's the only way they leave. I think Boston matches almost ANY offer to Krejci.

I knew youd reply. He hasnt had the greatest year, especially on the highest scoring team in the league. This year is not on the track he was on before his injury. I dont think there is any arguing that.

A D-man must be coming back with our miserable depth as is. Wasn't the deal a couple days ago rumoured to be XXX, Stuart, Colborne, 1st for Pronger and Moen. I'd have no problem parting with Moen as a throw in.

The Ducks won't land Bergeron, Stuart, Colborne, and a 1st.

Robbery is illegal in the US.

No, but it's safe to say he's not having his best year.

FYI, I still want him.

So age is the end-all be-all determining factor in choosing between two players?

Honestly, by your reaction to many Bergeron proposals it seems like you'd prefer the Bruins to not win a Cup at all if Bergy can't be a part of it.

if Kessel and Krejci get offer sheets for multiple yrs @ around 5.2 (comp.= 1st, 2nd, 3rd this years #'s) B's couldn't match both - not if they're resigning Thomas and depending on what the cap does (going down?) but I guess what you're saying is if it's a choice, Krejci stays

no, hes not having his best year offensively, but everything is doing just fine for him.

put him consistently on the second line and i would think his numbers would be pretty different.

The Bruins should part with Bergeron if it means landing Pronger. You play to win, not build.

FYI--Bruins are my second favorite team since I go to school in Boston.

Indeed. '
Would I take a 70-80 point, 25 year old Bergeron with ridiculous defensive play.
Or
An 80-90 point, 33 year old Savard with limited defensive play.

For me, it's an easy choice.

If getting Pronger means moving Bergeron I don't want him.
