of coarse not - a 4th line UFA that's a tough throw in

As far as the cap goes, Thomas knows what he's going to get given the Backstrom contract. 6-7M for 3-4 years (given his age). He will have to take a haircut to stay in Boston. This is a huge season for the Bruins, and I think they are willing to let Thomas walk for that money and hand things over to Rask.

FYI--Bruins are my second favorite team since I go to school in Boston.
THis is a true go for it all attitude. I prefer to contend for many years, then just 2.

I think he would be a huge addition to the Ducks! The loss of Pronger would hurt, but a defense with Niedermayer, Whitney, and Beauchemin should do just fine.

Getzlaf/Perry
Bergeron/Ryan

Can't complain.

Well i guess then i won't be satisfied with the deal if there is one. The way i see it, with CP having one more year in his deal, Murray shouldn't trade him for what amouts to be just a fair deal.

I keep Krejci without looking back. I like Kessel, but Krejci is just something else.

The Bruins have too many centers as it is. Your going to lose one eventually, might as well get Pronger out of it.

If the Ducks got Bergeron I'd instantly start cheering for them.

Right after I mope around for a few days.

Thinking of Bergeron in a different uniform makes me puke.

Or they could just move Bergeron to the wing... Which I think would be best for him.

Bergeron + is a good deal. (Assuming what the + might be)

The Bruins come out of the East with Pronger. Do you want a cup or not?

Something about Bergeron not being on the Bruins seems weird to me, not sure why...

Other than that though, i'd say this is a decent trade, like ericnut said, better to get something for one of your centers

I think it's pretty good for both teams. I don't think the Ducks will get a better offer than this, and the Bruins will likely lose one of their C's. Pretty good for both teams I think.

You're proving nothing more then you only look at the stat sheets.

Marco Sturm being out for the season is a major factor. Bergeron is playing pretty well right now but with P.J. Axelsson and Chuck Kobasew, there is only so much you can produce.
