Hmm.. a team that actually may have the cap space to make a deal. Expect a young forward like Raymond, and a solid dman going back the other way.

Maybe a deal like Bieksa, Raymond and a first going to FLA for J Bo?

I'd hope Gillis would have some indication on the likelihood of Bouwmeester being retained if Bieksa, and our first rounder were included in a package.

If Florida takes Raymond, they get fleeced twice now by Vancouver. I think Philly can put up a better offer.

Boy, if we couldn't resign JBo I'd be pretty choked at giving that package up.

Right handed defensemen with Bieksa's offensive ability seem to be pretty rare these days...

Theoretically, if the Canucks were given the right to negotiate with Bouwmeester, and get him locked down you'd obviously be looking at Edler or Bieksa going the other way along with Raymond or Grabner, and our first round pick.

And let me tell you, that package SUCKS to give up from a Canucks point of view.

Gillis won't give up the aforementioned for a rental. If they're pursuing Bouwmeester and if a deal is done, it would be with the intention of retaining him, I would imagine.

Hmm i heard Jaybo wanted to play in western Canada soo he may re-sign. It would be sweet to get him. Flyers should get themselves an improved goalie first, anyways.

Pierre Lebrun mentioned this as well(Flyers and Canucks going after JayBo). If it's true that Martin would allow teams to talk with JayBo about an extension then I can see the Canucks making a strong push for him. He apparently wants to be closer to home and the Canucks can afford to give him a nice offer.

Something based around Bieksa or Edler I would assume going the other way.
