45 points in 60 games is top 6, especially on this team

Don't forget our boy Redden and probably Rozsival if he isn't traded.

Could happen but I think they like Orr..........seeing Schoenfeld talking to him on the bench is a hoot

Although give me Kuba and Neil for a pick ,Dawes then move Rozy for a top 6 forward and I am pretty happy......Orr could just sit and not be moved

I wouldnt mind Recchi, Barker, Antropov, and Neil. I wish we could get all of them.

Recchi shouldnt cost too much.

Barker would cost more than Antropov IMO

Antropov would cost picks and prospects

Neil shouldnt cost much either.

I wonder if sather could pull it off

Roenick & Grier are out 4-6 weeks for the Sharks. Recchi is better off going there, he can take Roenick's spot and help a team that is actually a Cup Contender.

The Sharks are going to need someone to replace Grier's defense, maybe they'll be interested in Betts?

Rozy,Dawes and maybe a 2nd to the Avs for Smyth ( I think I spelt his name wrong ) and a minor leaguer.

Rozy would help their PP and would be a good #3 D. Dawes is young and they are rebuilding.

We get our top 6 forward...

I think that would be a good trade. Sorry if I posted in the wrong thread...

The absolute number one thing the Rangers don't need right now is any 40 year old players. What else they don't need is any guys that will not bury the puck.

Not a chance. I put Wolski in the same league as Frolov. Both players that won't be traded from their teams unless it's an overpayment. LA and Colorado are in re-building mode, there is no way they are going to trade us a good, young player that is a part of their rebuild for a handful of decent players.

Recchi? I don't think he's what the team needs at all. He's another small forward who's a play maker -not a sniper. I still think Guerin is a much better fit.

As for Barker -- I hate to say it, but I would definitely consider trading Korpikoski for him. We've got plenty of center dept:Gomez, Drury, Dubinsky, Betts, Avery, Anisimov. Like many of you said, that would make our defense ridiculous.

I like Barker, but I'd have to agree they'd probably want Dubinsky coming back. Not something I'd be in favor of.

Probably right. I just think it's something consider, unless they want Dubinsky--which is probably what they would want.

I really want to see what Korps can do at C with Avery and Callahan........I really think that could be a good line going forward

I'm pretty content with the roster as is... None of these guys jump out at me as "must have" players.. I'd like to add a defenseman but not at the expense of our offense....

Why is Chicago looking to move Barker anyway? Anyone know the real scoop?

At this point our depth at forward is pretty weak so I'm not really fond at the idea of adding defensive depth at the cost of weakening our offensive depth... If we were adding depth by trading away an older player or by using picks, I'd be for it... Dubinsky & Anisimov are our best options to supplant Gomez & Drury (eventually), not really comfortable departing with either of them at this point.

Of course. I really want to see that line as well-- it's going to be pure energy, speed, and a bit of grit to boot. But I think Barker has the potential to be a top pairing defenseman -he's got it all: Size, physicality, and some scoring potential.
