Great signing. Puts the rumours to bed that he will be dealt.

Wicked. Very fair deal, IMO.

ESPN out-scooping everyone. That's a first.

Pretty much what I thought it would be. I can't see him regressing.

Glad this puts the rumours to bed about any possible move, or him moving on July 1. Burrows wanted to be here, he's now staying here for 4 more years. Very good deal...he's the heart of this team and will prove it in the playoffs.

Wow I don't get scoops often and I really thought I had one here but ESPN totally beat me to the punch. Oh well at least I knew before TSN/Sportsnet

Nice. I figured his low end would be $1.75M per and the high end $2.25M so right in the middle is A-ok with me. Nice to put the speculation to rest.

Good deal as long as there is not a no-movement clause. The salary is low enough that the Canucks can afford to trade him should that scenario ever occur.

My only concern is that his play takes a step back because he finally got the big contract. It happened to Matt Cooke and turned him from fan favorite to pariah.
