No he wouldn't. Other than a great half-season, Vrbata hasn't done much of anything over the course of his career. Although, it doesn't really matter since he's playing in the Czech Republic.

Don't know how you could get those two confused, but okay.

We could certainly do worse than Svatos.

Both played with Avs, and both from the former Czechoslovakia.

That's the problem with 2/3's of the somewhat reasonably priced scoring help that might (or might not) be available to us. Pretty slim pickings unless you do something really big.

I have to agree with WFOM. Poni would be awesome. Versatile player that can play on any of the top 3 lines and not look out of place. I wouldn't be mad if we rented Antro either as long as the price isn't very high.

I like the fact that you guys appreciate Ponikarovsky and Antropov.

Respect to you Preds fans.

Hope you land Antropov, it's less likely Poni will be traded. The two are best friends.

Antropov would fit in well with your team, the kind of player you guys would love.

I'd love to get Franson.

We'll find out soon.

I want PONIKAROVKSY

Antropov is a perk for me, but I want Poni. If we get Antropov and don't get Ponikarovsky, Antro will just go right back to Toronto in the summer. Poni gives us a chance at keeping him for at least another year.

The rumor going around up there was that it was Antropov (and maybe another player or pick) for Koistinen and a pick. But no one had heard anything for sure.

Little fun fact: Antropov and Dominic Moore were scratched for Toronto on Tuesday night.

I'm still hoping for Ponikarovsky.

I'd much rather have Ponikarovsky, have never been a fan of Antropov.

While that'd be a trade I'd be thrilled with...the "pick" would have to be either our first rounder or the very least our high second. Koistinen on his own doesn't have a lot of value.

the way we are playing lately, you almost say to heck with the pick, just give it to them and make a push. If the scoring holds up and Rinne doesnt falter we can do this.

Legwand actually has him looking like a decent 3rd liner these days

He's busy being part of the most dynamic 1-2 offensive import combo in the Elitserien.

Satan going unclaimed makes me think we either are A) getting somebody we feel is better and we would not have the money to add anyone else or B) we simply did not like him.

I personally think it is a mistake. Hopefully we see a Sillinger-like trade...not a Witt/Forsbeg like trade.
