Goodness, he's one of the most exciting players in hockey, his celebrations included! His enthusiasm is contagious, and I wouldn't be the one to be a wet blanket. No, he shouldn't change a thing about how he plays. I like seeing the emotion!

I am not particularly fond of Ovechkin (I admit he is the best player in the NHL, Im just not a big fan. I prefer Malkin)
And I think if he is that happy after every goal he scores, GOOD FOR HIM. Let him celebrate, and leave him alone.

Abso-****ing-lutley not.

If you're gonna cry about someone celebrating a goal, don't watch the NHL.

Not at all. I love seeing someone actually celebrate goals for a change. I'm sick of watching a player score, and seeing, when the camera zooms in on his face, that he's got a completely emotionless look.

I'm pretty sure he would blow up if he contained his joy when he scores

I love the screaming and jumping after the goals (I used to do it too).

I just don't like the occasional taunts of opposing benches as he skates past them.

Ovechkin wouldn't be Ovechkin without his crazy, sometimes over the top goal celebrations.

No, but a haircut would make him look less like a crazed homeless man who was just handed 'bout tree fiddy.

This. I've been beating on Ovechkin a little lately, but not for the goal celebrations, that's for sure. Opposing benches and over-celebrating meaningless goals are a bit hrmph, but anyway...

And we all used to do stuff like the witch's broom back to centre, clay-shooting the tossed glove, the chainsaw, etc (I once got 2 mins for crouching in front of the goalie, civil war gunnery pose, and "shooting" at the goalie... haha, good times).

I can't wait to see his celebration when the Caps win the cup in the near future.... That's gonna be a show.

In the past people have been all over European players for their celebrations (Jagr, Selanne). I'm just wondering why they recieved criticism and Ovechkin does not?

(I voted 'no' btw)
