Bob McKenzie just debunked the whole Bieksa, Raymond and a 1st rumors for Bouwmeester. He also pointed out that Gillis' experience as a player agent probably means he has a lot of respect for NTCs. In other words, it is very unlikely that Ohlund is going to moved this deadline.

I'll take McKenzie's word over Sportsnet's.

I don't know about the whole respecting the NTC thing. His reasoning is based on really heavy speculation. He is knowledgeable though.

Would love it if we could get Bouwmeester but was hoping that Bieksa or Edler wouldn't be involved in that trade. Bieksa is going to be good for a long time. But I guess for a player like Bouwmeester, we got to give up a lot. Hope we can resign him if true.

I would rather trade him to an eastern conference team. Hate to have to play against him that many times. To trade him within the conference is only if the offer is too good to refuse.

Not that nobody is untradable - but dealing Bieksa signed to a reasonable deal and a 1st (and Raymond of course) for a pending UFA seems to be a bit high.

I doubt it....what is FLA getting??? 1 guy who hasn't panned out, an unknown, and a 19yo hopeful...you need to add a roster player, and an above average to good 1...sorry its gonna take a lot more than that to get JBo IMO, especially when they are in the playoff hunt with an underated team..

Bieksa hasn't panned out? Sure, whatever. I still don't want him going.

If the do get jbo then they will likely ask him to waive it but for the cans it would be goood for both of them on the same line.

You do see which trade offer I quoted right? The one that has nothing in it really (Raymond, a 2nd and Colburne? ugh!)...including Beiksa...there is no mention of Beiksa in the deal I responded to...and even Beiksa wouldn't get that deal done...JBo will cost a good player (ok Beiksa) a 1st rounder and a high end prospect...possibly more IMO

He was talking about Raymond. Bieksa wasn't included in the trade he was talking about.

Your quoting method confuses me. The world is upside down!

He puts his quotes on the bottom which scares and confuses me.

What would Boston be offering and would this be a side deal to a possible JayBo acquisition?
