I'm not sure Burke is always honest. Anyway, if they get traded for 2nd/3rd round picks I guess I'll be proved correct.

We shoulld have dealt Antro in the offseason when we would have gotten a 1st. Think about it, Antro for 18 games and a playoff run is not worth a 1st. Antro for 82 games and a playoff run is worth it. The Leafs have written the book on mishandling their assets, buying high/selling low, not dealing at the right time. Did Toskala have value before the season? Now you can't even deal him away. Damn, damn, damn that Fletcher!

No one would have been pleased with the third or fourth round pick for Toskala in the offseason. You never know when goalies will have actual value again.

Also a completed move now ..

Ottawa adds a lot of Salary in Leclaire and then Burke does him a favour and claims Gerber and his contract to help out the Sens budget.

Yeah, I can't say I am too happy about it either.

Hopefully gerber (who couldn't handle the pressure in Ottawa) will CRUMBLE in toronto these last 20 games.

Isn't it that if he is placed on waivers and plays in AHL his salary doesn't count against cap?
