Langkow Injury?

I saw that his hand was jammed into the boards against the Canucks and tonight I did not see him playing against Minnesota, if he indeed is injured for a while then I made an amazing trade fantasy-wise, I traded him for Ollie Jokinen, sure Ollie is really really underproducing but who knows he may pick up and Calgary's scoring is so balanced and Langkow has not produced since that amazing 8 or 9 game point streak.

Does any Flames fans or others know how long hes out for?

Brutal trade.

Langkow is out with a bruised hand, he might be back Saturday.

He didn't get jammed into the boards, he got hit in the hand with a slapshot

Langkow out 2-3 weeks according to Maher. Huge loss and really leaves a huge hole at center. Don't feel comfortable with Conroy and Lombardi as the top 2 guys. Wouldn't be surprised to see a move coming.

He's now listed as day-to-day.

My gut says if Langkow has a brusied hand and even if Maher says he will be out 2-3 weeks, I'm guessing he is day-to-day. Langkow is a warrior like Yelle, if he can play, he will be out there.

he skated with the team today but apparently did not participate in any stick/puck drills... i think he is likely a few games away

Good to see that he is skating. A few games is nothing as bad as I initially thought the prognosis was... good to hear.

Greentree has been re-assigned to QC this morning. I'm assuming this means Langkow will be ready to return for Friday's game.

Cap-relief says hello. They'll obviously save a bit of money and call someone back up in time for the game. Such concern for money should be a pretty good indicator that the old man is up to something. You don't even have to be an indian to read those signs in the sky.

Good to see Van der Gulik called up. Always considered him a darkhorse and nice to see him finally make his debut.

Sportsnet just reported that Langkow is out 'long term'.

No additional information was given.

Is the injury serious enough to sideline Langkow until the end of March?

Talk today is he could be back in a couple days and we'll see him back in the lineup in the second half of this roadtrip. Doesn't look like it is that serious.
