Moore is a beast. Great pickup for Buffalo, essentially trading Kotalik for Moore.

Moore was fantastic in Toronto. Don't think he puts up the same point totals obviously, without the same ice-time, but he can work very well in a checking role as well.

Good swap for both teams. I'm a big fan of Moore and hope he excels in Buffalo.

In what sense is Dominic Moore, of all people, "a beast"? I have no idea how the Maple Leafs turned him into a 2nd round pick, especially since everybody knew they basically had to trade him.

One of my most hated players from one rival to another! Surprised he returned a second round pick to be honest.

On the surface, good deal for both teams. We can't keep Moore, don't want him at his price...but when he's on his game, he plays some great, hardworking and fast hockey. But I know next to nothing about Buffalo's lines, so it all depends on who he's with and if he meshes well. Moore will disappear without some serious chemistry...he doesn't do it by himself.

Fantastic trade for the Leafs.

I think the Sabres will be happy with Moore as well.

They actually at one point today said that he was traded to Chicago. I guess you guys were the second team rumored interested in him.

For the Sabres, it is Kotalik for Moore. Trade a redundant player (inconsistent, one dimensional winger) for what they need (solid, all-around centerman who is good on draws).

When I factor in the fact that Moore has been one of my favorite non-Sabres for a couple years, I love the deal. It would be nice if they manage to sign him in the offseason, but they would have to move some salary first (Hecht @ 3.8 would be my choice, but management seems to love him...they draft Germans in hopes of finding mini-Hechts)

I was actually surprised they got a 2nd for him. Also, finally a JFJ move that worked. Picking up this guy on the waiver wire and now the organization can flip him for a 2nd round draft pick.

That's how I am looking at it....lol

Pretty good asset managment if you ask me. We pick up a player for free and get a 2nd round draft pick for him.

Moore is an incredible player. I really wish we could have signed him. He was my pick to be our captain. I hope he plays well for Buffalo.

Best of luck Dominic.

I'm surprised he was actually able to bring back a 2nd rounder.

Who? Goose and Moore are the only two I can think of.

Connolly is a #1 center when healthy, Roy is a great #2/Average #1, and Mair is a good 4th line center.

Goose will likely be thrown onto wing and our 3rd will look like this:
Goose-Moore-Kaleta: That is one line that won't take a shift off.

As for the entire line up I would Guess:

Vanek-Connolly-Stafford
Hecht-Roy-Afino??
Goose-Moore-Kaleta
Ellis-Mair-Paille

or

Vanek-Conolly-Stafford
Goose-Roy-Paille
Hecht-Moore-Afino
Ellis-Mair-Kaleta

I really have no idea how these lines will look.
