Ok all three came to camp and passed the physical. Laraque may have had a bad back, but seemed in good shape. Tangauy injury could have happened to anyone.. And Lang was a freak accident..

He doesn't own a crystal ball, you know? Stop complaining. Every time I read a post you start or comment on, you are complaining against the team. If you don't like the Habs, go cheer for another team already..

I think that Dandy's due for some games anyways. I'm interested to see how a 4th line of Stewart-Metro-Dandy would look. A nice mix of speed and physicality.
Tanguay and lats will be back soon i don't see room for Dandenault

I thought he's be a nice addition, but it's been VERY disapointing on afew levels.

Trouble is these guys can and should fill other rolls than sitting in the box for 5-10 minutes a game. Based on what I've seen they are true energy players. They will lose as many fights as they win.

While McGuire on CKAC said that it was a foot injury, RDS reports a back injury....

i have to disagree about Tanguay. I think it's the first time in his career that he's been out for so long.

According to Hickey on Habs I/O:

Quote:
Georges Laraque is out indefinitely with a lower back injury, the same ailment which kept him on the sidelines for six weeks after Christmas. Laraque left the game in Buffalo Wednesday after the second period.
Looks like BGL's out for awhile again.

Actually, it's great - why waste a roster spot on him? It's not like his presence dissuades anyone from taking liberties.

Lesson: NEVER sign a 30-something enforcer to a multi-year contract. Giving these goons one year deals keeps them hungry and in shape.

When can we buy him out again? It will only cost 500 K for 4 years to buy him out after this year - sounds good to me.

Mhmmmm. Like Gainey had any control over these injuries or could have saw them coming. Laraque had maybe a little injury history, Tanguay none and Lang none. Like Gainey's going to know that a freak skate blade comes and severs his achilles. All you do is bash. bash, bash. If you don't like the Habs, fine. Go cheer for another team

Seems that Laraque said that his back problems were worst this year than it ever was in Pittsburgh.....

Is there any sort of refund possible?

We could have had Carcillo, or any other cheap goon to finish the season...

Maybe Carbo played him too much for his body to handle it. I think BGL should complain and whine for more ice time... oh wait, I think I'm too late

Obviously Carcillo would be better than BGL, he can actually play good hockey, he can play over 10 minutes without hurting the team but....cheap ? Flyers got him for Upshall and a 2nd pick, that's not what I call "cheap goon".
